ABC Poem
Always be confident.
Determination erupts from gigantic houses in jungles.
Knowledge lives majestically, nurturing open-minded people.
Quality radiates sincerely through unique values.
Worth. Xenodochial. Youth. Zing.

Allusion Poem
The Land We All Know
Wrong will be right when Aslan comes in sight.
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more.
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death.
When he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.
Lucy went into the wardrobe.
She met Mr. Tumnus and learned about the world she had entered.
Her siblings didn’t believe her until they saw it for themselves.
King Peter the magnificent. Queen Susan the gentle.
King Edmund the just. Queen Lucy the valiant.
Once a king or queen of Narnia,
always a king or queen of Narnia.
New became old.
The beavers are gone,
along with all we know.
A prince became king.
Two left forever. Two will return.
One last trip
to the land we love.
One last chance to save the world.
A mouse, a cousin, a dragon.
Meek will become bold.
The brave will be humbled.
Kings to find and sepents to slay.
The task at hand will change their fate.
Aslan’s country will be offered.
Only one will accept.
Two will return to their life in England,
while Caspian watches over his people.
Aslan is gone and so are the kids.
The memories live on and the story doesn’t end.
The cousin is left wanting to go back.
He shall return in the years to come.
We spoke of Narnia in the days that followed.
And when my cousins left, after the war ended,
I missed them with all my heart.
Just as Narnians will miss them until the end of time.

Sonnet
A Pirate Like No Other
What’s to be said about our Captain Jack?
Disappeared. Exiled. Gone forever.
It is said that he has returned. He’s back.
Brilliant, crazy, honest and clever.
Davy Jones wants to stay an immortal.
Jack Sparrow wants eternity to live.
For himself, he now wants a youth portal.
Deeds for others he’s to pirate to give.
Nobody can even try to replace
the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow
Everybody after him in a chase,
he will always just sail straight and narrow.
The Pearl he holds dear since the first day.
Captain Jack Sparrow makes us laugh and play.

Choice Poem
The Unexplainable Man
Always was the word.
We know the man who said it.
The black-haired snake
with no expression on his face.
Ten points from Gryffindor.
Twenty points to Slytherin.
Unfair, unexplainable.
A puzzle inside a puzzle.
Is he good? Is he bad?
The bravest man I’ve ever known.
The biggest coward of the series.
Protecting Lily, or just himself?
Memories will show
his true color,
but not until he is ready.
He will not decide,
for his decisions are watched.
Death. Tears. Memories.
His student will know his story after it ends.
An undiscovered hero in the darkness.
His name was Severus Snape.
